That depends on how long the Illinois Gaming Board takes to approve your location. Anywhere from 3-12 months. The IGB has a limited staff to service the entire state. The Chicago Licensing applications will most likely overload the system.
In order to obtain machines, you will need to select a Gaming Terminal Operator (GTO). This is your partner in the video gaming business. This is a very important decision, and you should consult us before you make it.
The Illinois Gaming Board will open the online portal and begin accepting Chicago licenses shortly. You DO NOT have to sign up with a GTO before you apply. Don't be fooled, all the information is public and available at https://igb.illinois.gov/video-gaming.html
It is spelled out by law exactly what a Gaming Terminal Operator can legally do for any establishment. Do your research or contact us for details. Information is available at https://igb.illinois.gov/video-gaming.html
